How Hearsay protects your surveys and your customers’ answers, in plain language. Hearsay is provided by Brinus Tech Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (registered office 46 Elliotts Way, Caversham, Reading RG4 8BF, England) ("we", "us").
1.Your data is yours
Survey responses belong to the business that ran the survey. We never sell them, share them with advertisers, or use them to train AI models.
You can export every response as a CSV on paid plans, and ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
2.Where data lives
Survey data is stored in Google Cloud in the United States (nam5 multi-region), and encrypted by Google Cloud in transit and at rest.
Respondents never touch the database directly: surveys are served from a CDN and answers go through our own API, which validates every submission.
3.Who can see what
Access is denied by default. Database rules only let members of your workspace read its surveys and responses, and roles (viewer, editor, admin, owner) decide what each teammate can change.
Plans, usage and billing fields can only be changed by our servers, never from a browser.
An AI assistant you connect reaches one workspace, with the permissions you chose, and never sees respondents’ contact details unless an owner or admin turns that on. A survey it deletes stays in Trash for 30 days, where you can restore it, and it stops working the moment you disconnect it.
4.Bots and abuse
Surveys that give coupons run a bot check (Google reCAPTCHA through Firebase App Check) before issuing a code. Anyone who fails it can still answer, but gets no coupon.
Each response gets at most one coupon, and repeated submissions from one device are recognised.
