When to send it
A cloud kitchen never sees its customers. There is no dining room, no waiter clearing plates, and a delivery app usually sits between you and the person eating. A QR code on a sticker or insert card in the bag is one of the few ways to hear from them yourself. Put it in every order, from every app and from your own site, so the answers cover the whole business rather than one channel.
Customers scan while the food is in front of them, which is the best moment to ask about temperature and taste. Keep the card short: a line such as "Tell us how it was and get money off your next direct order" beside the code is enough.
Why these questions
The survey opens with a five-point satisfaction score, giving you a single number to track by week, by brand or by menu. The second question asks what state the food arrived in. Cold, soggy or leaking food is usually a packing or dispatch problem rather than a recipe problem, and it needs a different fix.
Taste is rated with stars, because that's how people already think about food. When the overall score is three or lower, a follow-up asks what to change before the next order, which turns a vague low number into something the kitchen can act on.
The last question asks where the order was placed. Splitting the answers by app and by direct orders shows whether problems follow one platform's riders or packing rules, and how many customers already order from you directly.
The coupon
The reward is a fixed amount off the next order placed with you directly: ₹50, $3 or £3, depending on where you trade. Keep your own currency and delete the others before publishing. A fixed amount is easy to understand on a small order, and because it only works on your own website, WhatsApp or phone line, every redeemed code is an order with no app commission. Unique codes matter here, since a printed QR code can be photographed and passed around food deal groups. Every customer who finishes gets a code, whatever score they give.
This template never asks anyone to rate you on a delivery app. The code thanks people for telling you how the meal was, and nothing more.
What to do with the answers
Check the arrival answers weekly. If "cold or soggy" clusters on one app or one time of day, change the containers for those dishes or the order in which the kitchen packs them. Read every low-score comment and tag it as food, packing or delivery, then fix the biggest group first.
For dish-level detail behind a low taste score, pair this with the dish-by-dish rating. When an order goes badly wrong, the late or cold order report gives the customer a way to tell you and you a way to follow up. Running a café as well as a delivery kitchen?
